Still getting statements

Hi,

I had a virgin credit card, and although it has been cancelled, and the debt passed to an agency, I'm still getting statements - should this be happening?

Um, I would assume that the account cannot be cancelled if the balance hasn't been paid as yet, so still getting statements sounds pretty normal to me. Has it been sold to an external agency, or has it just been passed to their collections dept?

It's gone to an external collector - that's why I assumed that I wouldnt get statements...it's like theyre wanting me to pay as well as the agency....

You will still receive statements until the debt is is settled. The External agency just does the chasing about and the admin work. They still answer to the original creditor.

I still receive monthly statements from the Halifax although my account has been with Lega land Trade Debt agency for nearly 7 Months now.

Nothing to panic about as long as you havbe proof of payment and the balace is coming down!
