Hello everyone,
Thought I would share my very short story as this board was invaluable for me when I was going through bankruptcy.
It will be 6 years at the beginning of December, and hopefully it'll drop off my record.
Time has flown by! I was 24 at the time and I'll be 30 this year, things have been okay! I managed to get by fine with what I had, even got through a redundancy too!
I now have 2 credit cards, both empty :A and I will be looking at a mortgage in a couple of years time.
I'm self employed again, whilst getting through 4 years of University.
My life has changed for the better in so many ways.. I am still a little ashamed of my past, but I now have a few grand in the bank and I am earning the best wage I ever have.
Please don't think I'm boasting at all, I just want people to realise that although it feels like the end of the world, it truly isn't.
I don't think i'd be in such a fortunate position now if I wasn't for the lessons I had to learn along the way.
So, to all you go through this now, good luck! and think to the future.. money is only made-up anyway
