I have just been into my big local Tesco Extra (Gillingham)and on the shelf where the 'brick' Lupak butter is was a label saying 500gm Lurpak spreadable 2 for £2.00 Obviously a mistake on someones part, but I grabbed one of the 'suits and said its labelled as 2 for £2.00 500gms spreadable so I want to buy it for that price .He argued for about two minutes, but saw I wasn't going to budge and a few people were stopping to see what would happen so he caved in and I came away with a kile of Lurpak spreadable unsalted butter for £2.00 victory for the little old lady with the determined glint and and a polite yet immoveable manner:j:j:jBless him, I have shoes older than him, and he obviously hadn't met someone as steadfast as I am
Victory: JackieO 1 Tesco's 0:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I know its a mistake, he knows its a mistake, but Hey I don't give a tuppenny cuss:D I have enough butter for me to last the month out for £2.00
BTW its all I bought as well :D

I am a lurpak lover and will ram my freezer with as much as I can, its a long established quality brand from Denmark. LIDL butter on the other hand tastes slightly rancid and cheesy and could come from anywhere and be made of anything (horse milk ?). Lidl long life milk is the same, cheesy and unappealing, so maybe its made out of that.
    But thats just my opinion.
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)
It takes 3500 calories to lose a pound in weight. Target 13 lbs weight loss. 18.5lbs lost 2nd May - 28 September.

You should have bought 2 packs and gone through the tills without kicking up a fuss in the aisle.

Lurpark Spreadable 500g is currently £2.98 at Tesco. Total to pay would have been £5.96.

You then should have casually walked over to the Customer Service desk and kindly point out that you had been overcharged on your goods.

You paid £5.96. You should have paid £2; therefore, overcharge of £3.96.

It's Tesco's own policy to give you 'double the difference' in the event of an overcharge. So, you would have been entitled to a refund of £7.92.

Result? An extra £1.96 in your pocket with 1kg of Lurpark Spreadable in your fridge.

Thanks dollywops, I've been waiting impatiently for a Lurpak offer as I only have one left in the freezer from pre-Christmas.

I bought some Rowan Glen last week as it was an ok price but it was vile so a complete waste of money!

  • Just been along to my local Tesco extra and the Lurpak offer wasn't on display there. Do different areas have different offers?
