This site was tried earlier. The message never arrived.
Are there any reliable such sites?

https://www.orange.co.uk Go to 'Communicate', then to 'Send a Text Message'. You need to put in a mobile number and password - I'm not sure if it has to be an Orange number or if you can register numbers from other networks. (If it has to be an Orange number and you haven't got one, you could always pick up a sim from the freebie sims thread and register that.
) You get 30 messages per month and I've always found them to be reliable.
If you register at https://www.o2.co.uk , you get 10 messages per month. These are ok (and have an advantage over the Orange SMS in that you can join up to three messages together in one message) but they have been less reliable for me than the Orange ones.
I remember reading a thread on here that said the BT site had a number of free online SMS per month but I can't find a link. Again, you may need to be a customer but it's probably worth having a look around the website if you're interested in these.
Hope to help.0 -

o2.co.uk is your best bet, although restricted at only 10 per month its very reliable when sending to any UK network, and if you have any spare sim cards lying around you could always register multiple accounts0
