Ahh 3 weeks to go and this is driving me mad pardon the pun. We weren't going to have a wedding car due to cost, but really I'd love one, we have seen a beautiful rolls Royce that I love and it's affordable. There are two trips in it. First 0.4mile from my house to church and approx 5 mile from church to reception on a 30 mph road through a town. My issue is the car has no seat belts. Whilst this is legal for the age, I feel that as we have two young children (won't be in car will be in proper child seats in another car), it is irresponsible of me and oh to travel so recklessly for if something were to happen........... I wouldn't travel in an ordinary car without seat belts so why is it any different on the wedding day. I feel I'd be "wrong" to do it. But I love the car and desperately want it. Am I being silly? ? ? There is a glass panel between tHe back seat and driver. If someone hit us etc we would be flung forward into the glass. I am 60 % NO and 40 % YES for the wow factor and memories photos etc. If we don't have this car we won't be having another and oh will drive us in his car.

At 30mph you're not going to sustain serious injuries.
I think you're worrying about this unnecessarily, to be honest. If you want the car, have it.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
It's easy for me to say, I know, but I would have the car. Chances of something bad happening are so incredibly small. Chances of you regretting it later if you don't get it, quite highMother, wife, scientist, analyst.

To be absolutely honest I would have it but if you're worrying about it now the chances are you will worry even more about it the closer you get to the day - so I would say don't bother and then you won't spoil your day worrying.0

If you want something on you're wedding day and will be happy about having it, then why not do it? If it is going to cause you unneccessary worry, don't.
Personally - whether the car had to have seatbelts or not I probably wouldn't be wearing one with my wedding dress - I'd risk the £60 fine for a short distance and I'd probably be too blissfully happy to worry about being involved in any incident (hadn't actually given it a second thought, I'm getting married in Italy and have thought of a really cool but probably really unsafe way of getting to my venue which is 15 minutes walk from the hotel and I'm not having a car - will post pics if it comes off!)No longer ...tobe! Would you be able to even wear a seatbelt over your dress?Turning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0

Take the car and relax.Pants0

The alternative would possibly be a carriage (without seatbelts or roof) drawn by unpredictable horses. I wonder which would be safer. I say go for the car and have a great day.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
