Apologies, another mortgage question!

Hi all, me again!

We have had confirmation that our Mortgage Valuation has been booked for this week.

What does that mean in terms of getting our Mortgage approved?

Are we close? Would they arrange the valuation if they weren't going to approve our mortgage based on our desposit / credit report etc?

Does this mean that our mortgage has been approved subject to the mortgage valuation?

It depends if the lender instructs the surveyor only when everything is received and acceptable, or if it routinely instructs the surveyor early.

The answers to all the other questions depend on the above.

Who is the lender? we should be able to work out whether agreed, or agreed subject to valuation then.

We are in the same situation and have been advised that our valuation will take place on Thursday. Our lender is Accord. Their website states that a valuation will be undertaken as soon as the fee has been paid so I don't think this gives any reflection on whether or not we will be approved.

Sorry to high jack this thread.

I applied with nationwide, through an IFA on friday. Got a text today saying that the valuation is being carried out today.

They have requested pay slip & p60 from me. Pay slip, p60, proof of name & proof of address from my girlfriend.

Will I be accepted subject to the valuation?

impossible for anyone to say without knowing specific details of your individual case. I went through nationwide recently and they did ask for additional docs after the survey was done and satisfactory. So its possible it could still be with the underwriters after the survey as mine was. But that was my case, which wont have the same detail as yours.
