    I have a smallish kitchen, and I store lots on top of my cupboards and fridgefreezer.

    You can ask your Landlord for permission to put up shelves, I did and they were fine with it. I have these ones. There was one up already and I added an extra one below it. perfect for storing things in jars/tubs etc. And can hang things off the hooks too.

    Things like these or these can add extra space to your cuboards, but they sell them in places like Home Bargains/B&M for about £4!

    For jars etc, if you or anyone you know drinks Douewe Egberts coffee, then this comes in lovely jars that can be used for storage afterwards ;)
