Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before (I searched and couldn't find anything) but I'm looking for ways of selling or recycling used laser printer toner cartridges.
Ideally I'd hope to get a few £s for them (if that's possible) but I'd be happy to recycle them for charity.
I've stumbled across a few websites that accept the cartridges I have but wanted to know if anyone had used them before?:
http://www.recycleinkcartridges.co.uk/index.html
They say they offer free postage and will pay but don't quote any prices.

It's a Samsung mono laser printer I have if that helps.
Thank you in advance.

ive not used them before.. but I did use the ink recycling factory before and they were good.. I found that they are the ones who tesco send their ink recycling too so they were legit and I had no problems with them.. in the end I stopped using them purely because I didn't print as much and now just send to tesco for the 100clubcard points as I don't use much ink.. but its worth looking into.0

In my experience, I CANNOT recommend Takeback Ltd.
They had about 120 cartridges from me; they quoted a value of just over £35. When they got the cartridges, they said that some were damaged and I was only entitled to £32. Yet when (after waiting 2 months) I asked for payment, they told me that because virtually all the cartridges were damaged, I'd not receive a penny !
Takeback Ltd certainly lived up to their name - just don't expect anything from them. (In future, I'll be using GreenTechRecycling)0 -

I tried using this one. They arranged a collection with UPS but then told me they had to pay a surcharge to the courier because the box of toners I had them collect was too big and heavy so couldn't pay me anything and that next time I'd have to foot the bill. What did they expect with a box of 'toners'? They didn't ask me for the details. These guys take originals only btw.
I have a feeling they would pay out but do tell them the weight and size of box when arranging collection. I gave up after that and just have some other company collect from work for free for no cash. Other company also recycle remanufactured / compatibles so I might as well.
TheRecyclingFactory do not take / pay for toner cartridges. only inkjet. Their list of accepted ink cartridges have dwindled, which is unfortunate.0 -
What I find amusing & rather ironic, is that the Internet homepage of Takeback Ltd states that . . .
'We have some somewhat old fashioned values of great customer service, quality products, paying people on time . . .'
For months my better half had been telling me that the toner cartridges were worth n'owt and that they were just taking up room - turn out she was right !
So if you are ever in the position of wanting to recycle inkjet or laser toner cartridges, I cannot recommend the 'old fashioned' values of (non-paying) Takeback Ltd.
I'm not sure which is worse, not being paid by Takeback Ltd or my missus being right0
