Woolwich - back to the Underwriter

I have posted about this before but after a sleepless weekend am at my wits end!!!
After a "mix up" (for "mix up" read God almighty !!!! up!!!) our solicitor discovered at the last minute (despite being told back in October) that there is an Overage on the land attached to the property we are trying very hard to buy.
After a fortnight of wrangling with the Seller's solicitor, ours' finally managed to get a proper copy of this document on Thursday and it was send over to the Woolwich on Friday.
It has apparently been sent on to their valuation department, then on to their underwriter and then finally their legal department.
Why can these things not be simple?
So for 7 to 10 days we are keeping our fingers crossed and our lives on hold whilst - yet again - awaiting someone else's decision.
The solicitor was marginally hopeful that we may be okay as the Overage is not on the house or garden. That said, she leaves for America in just over a week and so would probably be happy about anything right now...
