We urge all UK crime fiction readers, reading groups and librarians to get behind this and nominate their favourite British up-and-coming crime fiction authors who deserve recognition.
As the award is for a body of work, nominated authors should have published at least three books. To nominate an author, simply fill in the nomination form below. You can nominate up to 3 authors. Nominees will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win £200 worth of books from Random House Publishers.
The closing date for award nominations is April 1st 2013.
You can use this form to nominate your author. Entries must be received via your local library, so please select which library you are a member of from the drop down option.
All completed nomination forms will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win £200 worth of books. By entering this free prize draw, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
This free prize draw is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is a resident of the UK or the Republic of Ireland, except for employees of The Random House Group Limited (the promoter), its subsidiary companies, their families and any other company connected with the free prize draw.
The closing date for the free prize draw is midnight GMT on 1st April 2013 (closing date). Entries received after the closing date will not be considered. Responsibility will not be accepted for lost or damaged entries, whether due to system error or otherwise. Proof of entering the prize draw via the Dead Good competition Page is not proof of the promoter’s receipt of entry.
The prize will consist of a selection of books from Random House publishers selected to represent the wide range of published authors and genres (the prize). The prize must be taken before 15th April 2013. No cash alternative will be offered.
Events may occur which render the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and the promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend or suspend the prize with or without notice.
The prize draw will take place within 2 days of the closing date (i.e. by 2nd April 2013) and the winner will be notified by email within 3 days of the closing date (i.e. by 4th April 2013).
The winner agrees to the promoter’s use of their name, town of residence and photograph in relation to the promoter’s publicity material.
Your personal details will only be retained and used by the promoter in order to send you your prize and will be deleted thereafter unless you have ticked the appropriate box. Your personal details will not be passed on to any third parties.
The winner’s name will be available upon the promoter’s receipt of a stamped addressed envelope on 4th April 2013.
