Good morning people, newbies and old timers!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:
Today I will/have:
- send everyone off with packed lunches
- put one thing on Amazon
- do a couple of hours exam invigilating
- go for lunch with a friend using BOGOF vouchers
- doing my banking and updating my spreadsheet
Have a good day everyone x

Hi all, before and after. Trying to get back into a routine. Today I will:
- get back into my routine, duh, practising my financial schemes on the web.
- pay my ordinary credit card (the one I spend on monthly) in full.
- just checked that I paid off my 0% credit card by the due date (I have, phew).
- make a decision on my mortgage offer, eek.
- get back into doing rpoints and mutualpoints, as well as my piggyclicks.
- read Martin's latest email - I think it came yesterday, haven't set eyes on it yet.
- put some beans on to soak, have been eating prepackaged stuff while mother's been here, v expensive (but she paid when we ate out, which was nice).
- get some of my paperwork sorted - its all higgledy piggledy right now, cos of when I swept it all into one big pile.
- be adventurous. Put a cd up for sale on Amazon!
