Can former employer tell future employer if employee got sacked?

Hi that could be possible but I dont think it is the case. From speaking to my mate it appears that management did phone up his previous employeer. Everything seems OK now and im really happy for him as I know its been a really tough few months on JSA! Nice to se him off benefits and happy :-)0 -
Probably gossip. If I scratched myself, someone in the competitor 20 miles away would know within the hour, some industries are very close knit.!0
