Paella Rice - BB 2008

Tonight I am cooking Paella. Been out and bought seafood and chicken to go in it.
Just read the Paella rice box and it says "best before....2008":eek:
Do I risk it or should I go out and buy more rice? It will be at least a 15 mile round trip.
What do Old Stylers advise?

I'd risk it. After all it's dried so lasts years anyway.
In fact it is said that basmati rice is better when it's older, don't know if the same is true for paella rice.
