jsa and new job question

  • Some training courses can be informal wear y'know...

Last job I was in which involved a course it was perfectly acceptable to wear jeans - and this was for a rather corporate call centre
I must say I picked up smart dark trousers dirt cheap from ASDA like
for a fiver! as personally I didn't feel comfy in jeans but then I'd come from having a uniform previous

As long as it is not a customer facing role most places aren't choosy over what is worn - or will let you know what is/isn't acceptable day 1

Best of luck with new job ; )

Please ask for help from your jobcentre. There is discretionary help available for travelling costs and work clothing from the Flexible Support Fund but you must inform the jobcentre before you start work.

In the mean time as others have said, you must still be looking for work to qualify for JSA, it may seem silly as you have been offered a job, but that job could fall through.
