This mascara is soo good as well, tempted but do I need 12?

Again, I'm not sure of the point of 12? Being liquid, they do get contaminated fast, and I would want to put anything that has been sitting around for years in a drawer anywhere near my eyes.

But as gifts / sticking fillers I guess they would do.

If they remain unopened, what would cause them to get contaminated? Also, they do recommend replacing 'old' makeup every few months, for the reason of contamination. Having so many mascaras, you could do so without feeling particularly frivilous!

A low dose of existing contaminant can thrive in a warm home. The smell is often a giveaway.
