Says its been written off ?? Advice please

Ok so after last weeks sort out and finally getting all my debt in order so I know whats what and who I owe I log into SRJ debt recoveries to make a small payment off the £66.06 I owe them ..

Click on account statement and it shows me as owing nothing and that it was marked write off on the 20/06/2012 ... I'm abit lost as to why ... I haven't contacted them in any way and the last letter I had from them was last March .. Is it possible it has been moved to someone else , should I be aware or is it a case of waiting for a letter out of the blue ?

Depends what you think you "Should" do

If you want to pay it then try contacting the origional creditior, they will tell you whos collecting on the account. It may be that it has been returned to the origional creditor.

Or...
Just sit tight, it may be that, for such a small amaount the creditor has written it off as a bad debt and youll never here from them again.

I'm not in guilt and thinking oh no i should pay what I owe over this small amount . Unlike the rest of my sig debts , apart from the £80 which was DVLA for late road tax . I sold the dam car 6 months prior and they know it

Its a Talk Talk account for aol broadband I had many years ago . I contacted them to say it was no longer needed and had found a better deal and got in a right !!!!! fight over the phone . I cancelled DD and sent all modem cables etc back to them but they continued to bill me.. As far as I was concerned I had finished with them and so ignored the wallys

I'm happy to sit back and see what happens if anything . I have tried to pay via their website on my account only to be told I owe nothing . I'm just concerned it may come back on me with extra charges or whatnot added .. I have saved a copy of the online statement to show it says written off

I had a very similar situation with O2 broadband a few years back. I canceled and they wanted me to send the modem back.
As I had literally only a few pounds at the time I couldnt afford the postage so never returned it.
O2 billed me £50 which I never paid, this went to fredrickson for collection but in the end they gave up and ive not heard anything for well over 12 months now.

For such a small amount your debt is probally written off by Talk Talk. It wouldnt be worth them having it open and on their books.
