Techn, it was a while ago since I did this. If I remember rightly, you have to keep on recruiting engineers after you've completed missions and got rank points - the engineers give your ship more energy or something. I just kept on doing the missions, upgrading the ship with engineers, and I got to level 10 within a couple of hours I think

thanks. looked through it and got to level 10 fairly easily. says it credits in 10 hours though so will have to wait and see
