Can't get car repaired!

My car has been with a Privelege nominated garage to repair damage following a black ice no fault accident. The car has been at the garage 6 weeks now and every week I have been told there is difficulty getting Ford parts.
The ample availability of parts has been confirmed by a local Ford dealership I visited today. The insurance company are not taking any rersponsibility for ensuring the repair of my vehicle, claiming the situation is out of there control.

Has any one experienced this?
Should I take legal advice on this?

When you say this was a "no fault" accident, do you mean privilege are the third party insurer dealing with this?

If so, tell them you want the car moving to your choice of ford dealer as 6 weeks is unnacceptable as you know parts are available elsewhere.
