Free Malteasers -Help???

Hi
I have just been in my local Coop to get my free Malteasers and was refused them. The staff said they hadn't been trained on it and weren't willing to try. Asked to speak to the store manager over the phone, as he wasn't in the store. He said he knew nothing about it and that it was impossible to use the pay point for Malteasers. He said he had never heard of Martins money tips and would not honour the offer. Can I do anything about this???
Thanks Princess NM x

Phone ShopScanSave. They will phone the store and put them straight. This happened to me today at my local Coop and a Simply foods store.Awaiting a new sig0 -
Did you go in just to get the free malteasers?"The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0

I emailed shopscansave and it turned out that my coop really couldn't process the offer as they have a different type of card machine. I pointed out how embarrassing it was to have had queues of customers tutting at me while the person serving (yes only one person serving) was trying to work out how to do it, only to then be told that they couldn't. They rang me and whilst being VERY abrupt and insisting that it was not their fault, they did post a box of maltesers to me. So, thank you to them, but I am not willing to be embarrassed like that again or hold up queues so I have deleted their awful app.0

If they have a yellow scanner machine it works.0

only kidding i would have been miffed too!0 -
I've never bothered with shopscansave for this reason, the instructions in the app seemed a bit complicated and the staff in my local co-op have enough problems with the various coupons I keep providing them with...I think SSS would be beyond them :rotfl:0

If they have problems then direct them to the paypoint machine - our Coop staff had no idea and then went to that machine and scanned the barcode and it printed out a voucher which we then had to take to a till. Was embarrassing though as it was lots of faffing about trying to explain to them how it worked.0

My friend tried to get these the other day and was refused. Staff had no idea what she was going on about. Bit embarrassing.Debt free 6th December 2014

The staff was brilliant at my local Coop. I was in and out within two minutes. He couldn't get in to work so he wrote down my code, let me take my malteasers and said he'd look in to it once we'd left. It disappeared from my offers later in the day so I guess he figured it out.Best 2021 wins: 48 bottles of cider, £200 John Lewis Vouchers, £100 Currys vouchers0
