I have a water distiller which I bought on line from Mama Penguin (Marcus Sesbury) very helpful and supplied a water tester TDS total undisolved solids) and it is o.oo it makes about 4 litres at a time straight from the tap - I am very happy with it.
We also have a water distiller. The residue left after a distillation is shocking. We got it to replace drinking bottled water because of the bpa in plastics. I'm concerned that just consuming distilled water isn't great and when I asked the chemist about it they seemed concerned that we would be going without essential minerals and salts. However we try and eat healthy with plenty of veg etc and add a pinch of Himalayan salt to our water bottles. I drink a lot of plain water and have gone back to some bottled water because I don't find distilled refreshing in the same way, but the cats and plants love it and oh swears by it.
Thinking about a brita instead of the bottled water but really want something that will remove pharmaceuticals from tap water. Any ideas anyone ?
