Advice Please re Visit from Moorcroft

Hi

Apologies if this has been answered before, I'm not really supposed to use the internet at work so don't have much time!

I moved out of my parents home 3 months ago and am in a Payplan arrangement. As such I had to reduce the payments I made by quite a bit.

I've been told today a lady called at my old address yesterday evening to speak to me. My parents wouldn't give my new address or contact number and the woman said she couldn't say what she wanted to see me about although she left a contact number and said she was from Moorcroft.

I've read enough about Moorcroft on here but, to my knowledge, they have sent me nothing and were not handling anything I owed?!

She left saying she would call on Thursday evening at my old address (even though she knows I don't live there no more!).

Any advice on what I should do? I've tried ringing and e-mailing Payplan but as usual cannot get hold of anyone, no change there then!

It's possible Moorcroft could have taken over the debt from another DCA at some point. If they're stupid enough to call again at your old address after being told you don't live there, watch they're not using these visits as an excuse to add on extra charges. Perhaps your parents could give them a written statement declaring that you don't live there any more & keep a copy for future reference. Keep trying with Payplan however frustrating, as they will know which is the next best step to take.
