Help with invite wording

Hi looking for help please, we get married on aug 10th and need help with invite wording, we've been together 15 years and are having a very informal wedding... Registry office at 330 followed by reception in a wmc, not having a sit down meal just a buffet,a friend of my mums is making the invites for us as all shop ones are either day or evening invite not in between
so if anyone can help I need wording for registry office to club and wording for just to reception, but to arrive roughly same time as us, we don't want 2 separate groups if that makes sense ( all my ideas sound either too formal or just wrong) thanks

Hello- you're my date twin!! And we were only deciding on our invite wording last night so we must be on the same schedule lol!
I don't have the exact wordin on me but ours say something along the line of: together with their families, x and z request the pleasure of the company of a and b on the occasion of their marriage on say 10th August at time. Ceremony and reception to be held at a hotel, postcode.
That prob a bit formal for you but feel free to steal any elements you need (the date perhaps? Lol)0 -
Oh my goodness - usually lurk on this board but had to post as we are date triplets! I have just printed my invite inserts and am about to put them together to send out. Mine just say:
Dear_________________________
X and X would like to invite you to join their wedding celebrations
Saturday 10th August 2013
Ceremony starts at 12pm at X
Followed by a reception at X
Please RSVP to X
We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there
Then the evening ones are exactly the same but instead of the line about the ceremony and the 'followed by' they just say the evening location 6pm - 11pm, and I added 'for dinner, drinks and dancing' so they would know that there is food being served in the evening. I couldn't decide how to word it either but have printed them now so just went with it in the end! I know yours is slightly different as you aren't having a separate day and evening but maybe you could adapt it? Happy to help more if I can

This is similar to what we had...How about something like:
Together with their families 'brides name' and 'grooms name' would like to invite you to celebrate their marriage at 'venue' on 'date'
Ceremony begins at 'time'
Followed by dinner and dancing at 'venue'
(you could replace dinner with buffet or just food)
And for the evening only:
Together with their families 'brides name' and 'grooms name' would like to invite you to an evening reception to celebrate their marriage at 'venue' on 'date' at 'time'
Bring your dancing shoes!
I think most people will assume that there will be a buffet at the evening do, but you could add a line in to the evening one about the buffet if you wanted...
I agonised for ages over the wording! It is so exciting getting the invites out though! Good luck!0 -
