So can I assume that we should be fine and that it is more a question of which lenders to approach / avoid ?

I appreciate that this will inevitably mean some lenders are not an option, but I am equally hoping that this does not mean we are pushed into the "sub-prime" category, having to pay much higher rates....

Hi we have just had our mortgage offer and I have late payments on some credit card bills - over a year old but more concerning than a mobile phone contract. Its scary but if it is just the mobile phone contract I think it shouldnt cause you too many problems.

Can I ask who you went with for your mortgage ? Did you also use and broker and if so was their advice to select (a) certain lender(s) ?
