Every month, SpareRoom gives away a month's rent to one lucky winner. Any flat or house sharer can enter and you can enter every month, so if you don't win first time don't give up! In fact, the more times you enter, the better your chances are of winning (see below). For every friend you refer you'll earn an extra entry, virtually doubling your chances with each friend who enters!

Competition Terms (please read)

Eligibility and entry:
The competitions are open to any UK rent-paying flat or house sharer over the age of 18. A flat or house share is classed as shared accommodation where at least 2 of the residents are unrelated (and not in a relationship).

The following are examples of who would be eligable to enter:
Any one of a group of friends renting a flat or house together
A lodger renting a room in a family home
A tenant renting a room in shared property

The following are examples of who would NOT be eligable:
A home owner who is letting a room out (though the lodger would be eligable)
A tenant living alone in a one bed flat
A couple renting an their own

To enter, you need to supply your email and postcode. Only one email, and therefore entry, allowed per individual. Except in the case where you have a work email address and a personal address, though this will need to be proven in the event of a win (two webmail accounts, such as hotmail or yahoo, will not be accepted regardless of their use).
By giving us your email address you agree to us contacting you by email. No more than 4 emails will be sent in a month. These emails may include: details of the next month's competition; winners of previous competitions; plus ways to earn additional entries in order to increase your chances. You can unsubscribe at any time, however, unsubscribing cancels any competition entries you currently have.
The closing dates for entering the current competitions are listed at http://www.spareroom.co.uk/liverentfree but are generally midday (UK time) on the last day of the month.

Extra entries and increasing your chances:
For every friend you refer (who follows the special personal link provided to you) who enters, you receive an additional entry. This means that if the competition has 1000 entrants, including you, and you refer one friend, your chances change from 1 in 1000 to 2 in 1002, virtually doubling your chances. Each referred person must be a unique individual (not the same person with a different email address for instance). We reserve the right to investigate friend referrals for fraud
When entering a competition, you are rewarded for any previous competition entries you made, meaning your chances improve over time. E.g. if you entered May's, June's and July's monthly draw, you will atuomatically get 4 entries if you join the August draw.
You may be offered the opportunity to earn additional entries. The details and terms of these will be described within the offer
