I don't think you need to adhere quite so strictly to 'use by' dates on yoghurts - I often eat them when they're a few days over - and I'm not dead yet!Stompa0 -
I can't eat a yoghurt after it's use by date either. I'll eat other stuff, just can't face a yoghurt.
I do believe there are 3 organic carrots going a bit moist and black. If they're ok, I might cook them for tea. Thanks for making me remember them.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

My fridge is always a place where things lurk beyond their "safe" by date, never mind sell by date! I'm always ashamed when I discover ex-cucumbers floating in the salad drawer, or solid lumps of cream, etc. Fortunately I have a pretty poor sense of smell - tho' if it were better maybe I'd detect things when they were still edible!Resolution:

an frozen yoghurt is loverly especially if u sprinkle grated chocolate on it before eating an just what u need after a spicey curry0 -
3 little pieces of manky peppers. Now thrown away. and a rather sprouting garlic may still be able to save that.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

The frozen yoghurt is a great idea.
I've just used up the last of some okra which said use by/ best before 6th May and a slightly wrinkled bit of green pepper, both went into a risotto sort of thing with some other veg, tomato puree and a tin of sardines.
I also have some mouldy strawberries (waste of time buying them half price then!)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
