I think we have the best sense of humour in the UK. It can often be strange and we often poke fun at the darkest of subjects but I think it's part of our friendly and humorous approach to life.

We do come across as basic and simple to be honest.0

That isn't what most people I've come across say. Our sense of humour and friendliness has almost legendary status.
Of course there are always exceptions to a stereotype.0 -
I don't deal in sterotypes, next you'll have us all wearing little green hats, being drunk and singing the fields of Athenry.0

should this poll be an all Ireland poll instead off a UK poll .
To be honest I cant understand the Scottish accent anyway."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -

I think Northern Ireland, certainly Ulster, stands alone in its sense of humour. The accent is very different to the other three provinces and I think that, along with other cultural differences, makes us stand alone.
I'll grant you there are similarities between us and the rest of Ireland, as well as some similarities with other UK regions but I felt that first of all this is a UK board and secondly that Northern Ireland is different enough to warrant the poll as it is worded.
Nothing's ever perfect though.0 -
Our humour is quite offbeat and it's missed on a lot of people outside of the province but that uniqueness is what makes us great.
Personally I think people from Northern Ireland are amongst the friendliest about, yes we can be grumpy but when looking for help etc very few people are left wanting. A perfect example of this is on MSE, I am currently job searching and the amount of help and support I've received has been overwhelming.0
