You can get the Sumvision Cyclone Voyager tablet for as little as £105 from Ebuyer’s eBay outlet, with a one year warranty, free delivery and 105 Nectar points.

This tablet shares a number of features with Apple’s iPad Mini like the fact that they are both dual-core devices (the Cyclone Voyager uses a Rockchip RK3066 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz with a quad-core Mali 400 GPU solution), both have an 8in IPS display with a 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution, 1GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage.
However there are some significant differences as well. Sumvision’s tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It costs only a fraction of Apple’s tablet. It doesn’t have a rear camera but does have a front facing one.
Other features include a 4,200mAh battery that can power the tablet for up to five hours, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mini HDMI and microUSB port plus a microSD card slot.
We suspect that by the end of the year, most tablets will be quad-core models, running either on a Cortex-A5, Cortex-A7 or Cortex-A15 core. As some experts pointed out, marketing will play a huge role and so will the number of cores.

I dislike Apple intensely and i have the 7" Cyclone voyager. I am in no way an iPad fan, but come on. Drawing any comparison between the two is like saying a McLaren F1 is like a Daewoo Matiz because they both have an engine.

I cannot write with expertise about the VFM of Apple devices, but i can say with some degree of authority that you get exactly what you pay for with the Cyclone - cheap and cheerful android pad of limited quality.

Does it support Xbox Smartglass anyone know? Tried to Google this but can't find a definitive compatibility listing...

It is a lot different to the iPad Mini.

The BT will actually connect to standard BT GPS systems and the HDMI won't need any licensed fancy goods to connect either.
So weirdly this can save the price of the item, so might even suit some iPad Mini owners.
