Hi
Has anyone ever dealt with HIS Solutions??
I have had a survey done and my house is eligible to have them installed which will save me money on my electric bills.
The deal is that I rent my roof for 20 years and get cheaper electric.
Any opinions on this??

Do you have a mortgage?0
-
Yes I do.
Will this have any bearing?
I was reading over the contract and the company gain consent of the mortgage company I don't get involved in that.
Is there something I don't know??0 -
I would seriously ask a solicitor to look over the contract. You are effectively renting out a roof you don't own. This could be a mine field when it comes to selling, mortgaging or if the company goes bust.0

Very interesting point0 -
I would advise you to get independent advice also. Over the years your circumstances may change, you may want to change mortgage company or sell etc and not all companies or buyers want to get involved with a third party who is using your roof.0

... and where does your Home Insurance policy stand on all of this??0

Think of the future, would you buy a house that someone else had some control of part of?
I wouldn't !0 -
I was thinking of getting solar panels, the free ones. I would never be able to afford to buy them, and I'm not intending to stay in this house long term. I'm not getting them after all, after realising the pitfalls regarding mortgages, and putting off buyers who probably won't be able to get a mortgage.0

I was doing a bit of research and came across this free solar panel warning from Which
