Called for 2nd interview.

I have been called back for a 2nd interview with a care company :j:j I am really pleased, as I have been unemployed for almost 6 months now.
Can someone please tell me what a 2nd interview is for? at my initial interview, we looked through my CV, they explained the training involved, discussed what hours were available and what hours I wanted, how the company works etc and what would be expected of me.

When she rang to offer me the 2nd interview I was so pleased (and shocked!!) that I totally forgot to ask!

So, what should I prepare for?

For my job I had 2 interviews. It was a little while back now but can remember the 2nd one being a bit more formal in some ways (about the company etc) and more informal in other ways (more about me). I also got some one the spot questions about work situations (how would you deal with an upset customer, what would you do if this/that happened etc). Be honest, be confident. Really hope you get the job.

I had a second interview recently.

For me the second interview was a bit more character based. It repeated bits of the first interview on the day to day role (for the benefit of one of the interviewers who wasn't at the first) but focused more on how I would handle certain situations outside the day to day role, how I would go about suggesting business improvements, how I would handle it if ideas weren't taken up, personal development, etc.

They will know know you can do the day to day job from the first interview, and they are now interviewing to ascertain character, how you will fit in, etc.

My experience anyway!

So I think the best thing to do is to run through a list of some 'on the spot' type questions, and also find out more about the company, and how to make my efficient and reliable personality shine!
