That really is quite cruel, are you sure she isnt acting out of shock? Hopefully she will calm down and take things a bit slower before coming to that kind of decision.

I hope your meeting with payplan goes well tomorrow. Keep posting on here as like the rest of us, you will need support

We've had our ups and downs in the past like everyone but she feels that I've lied to her about my situation. The only reason I didn't tell her earlier was that I didn't want to harm our relationship.

Not sure what to expect from payplan tomorrow but I'll just be totally frank and honest with them and see how it goes.

If you enter into a DMP can you change your expenditure once it has started ? The reason I ask is that I'll need to find somewhere else to stay soon so everything is up in the air.

Sorry to read that your GF has decided to run away.

As mentioned above, perhaps it is just the shock, and that things will settle down.

Will this impact things greatly, finance wise? Presumably your living costs will need to be recalculated before your payplan interview tomorrow?

Hugs being sent your way from the hypno household x

I can see she would worry that if you had lied about money what else would you lie about?

Maybe after your meeting you should show her your SOA and tell her what the payplan person said. Promise her you will be totally honest in future and see if she will try again.

Well I've been treading water since I first posted on here, frightened to confront my situation. But now I have.

I have an phone interview with Payplan tomorrow to sort out my finances, however, having told my partner the true nature of things she's decided to end it all after six years together.

The financial hassles I can deal with, but this really is unexpected and to be honest I'm totally gutted.

I am really proud of you that you have told her, is it the fact that you have just told her or is it something else in the relationship? I'm not being nosey but when my OH previous GF left him, she told him the reason was one thing but it actually turned out to be something quite different, I think his GF needed a reason and my OH gave her one. I wish you lots of luck with Payplan and I'm sending you a huge:grouphug:

As shineyhappy mentioned, she said to me that if I'd lie about this then what else could/would I lie about.

The whole reason for not telling her was that I didn't want to lose her, thinking I'd manage to sort things out without any worry on her part. Being honest is the best way forward, I know that, it just doesn't seem like it at the moment. I'm just totally devastated by this coming on top of my recent admission of my own financial disaster.

I'm finding it hard just to think straight.

    Hi,

Sorry to read about your situation.

Just to follow on from another post about Barclaycard..... I believe as an existing customer you can transfer other balances to Barclaycard without fee at a rate of 6.9% until the transferred balance has been repaid.

I'm not 100% sure but worth looking into.
See you on the dark side of the moon
