Using water from tumble drier

Not very OS I know but I do sometimes use our condenser tumble drier when I can't dry clothes outside. Anyone got any ideas for how I can re-use the water it generates. It has a 5L capacity and it seems a shame to just pour it away but am I right in thinking that it will be lacking in minerals and unsuitable for watering plants with?

as far as I know it can be used for your plants and also as ironing water as it is distilled. I use mine to water the pot by my front door with no problems at all!Do what you love :happyhear0

Similar to you, I use my drier occassionally.
I try to use the water on my baskets, it never occured to me not to as it is only every now and then and they get watered in between anyway. If it is really bucketing it down and I can't get to the baskets I pour it out the back door on my tree - now I feel guilty and hope someone comes up with some better suggestions! The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
I water the plants with it."Finish each day And be done with it.

There are plastic signs on the side of my TD's plastic container *MrsB goes for a look* The signs say that you can use the water to water plants (if my houseplants don't need it I tip mine into my rain barrel outside), as ironing water, to top up a car battery, and that it is not suitable for drinking (well doh!)

Great, thanks for your replies. I don't have many houseplants as my babies try to eat them... But I'll save the water up and use if for the pots/baskets in the garden.0

I pour it into my washing machine powder tray at the start of the wash - environmentally friendly and OS moneysaving as well.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

I pour mine into my mop bucket and use it to wash the laminate floors.0
