I received a debt collection letter yesterday and it was dated the 27th February saying I have 10 days to pay or the door collector will come round my house

This is a debt I know nothing about, I think someone has been using my name/details to blacklist me.. what do I do? this is not the only time this has happened I've had the police involved before with other companies threatening me as a vulnerable adult..

Debt collectors have no particular rights and most of the time they deal in empty threats. If this isn't your debt, you have nothing to worry about.

Your next step is to send a prove-it letter, sending it recorded delivery and keeping a copy
