some fab suggestions!
For me, food is a big one. I feel a bit 'conned' if by the end of the month we're eating pasta, tinned tomatoes and bread. I make sure we have one eggy meal and one potatoey meal (like an ommelette / jacket potato and beans) each week so that by the end of the month there's still some tasty things to be had rather than thinking 'ooh, one takeaway on my CC won't hurt'. Have had one takeaway since living with my OH and it's been a year, so working so far!0 -
I too struggle with cooking, I have a brand new electric cooker that needs wiring to my kitchen but can't afford to get someone to do it. The current cooker is rubbish and I waste so much money on easy food rather than struggling with the cooker. Nightmare!

i love that cooking by numbers, might just inspore me to use up some stuff out of the cupboards before i rush off to the supermarket (then again it might not, lol)0

I think I posted this on another thread so sorry if repeat.I am a SUCKER for the local Indian's when I am tired, so I have got round this problem. Keep all the local menus that come through your door, stick em in a wallet in a drawer and we do 2 things. We either find out what night they have a BOGOF takeawy and buy it midweek and stick it in your freezer for Friday/Saturday night. Or buy a meal for 4, it feeds a family of 5 of us for two days (and we can scoff bigstyle) as there are usually 2 hugebags of pakoras/bhajis.
Or have a look on Indian cookery websites and learn to cook them yourselves! I used to have a fabby curry book but I lost it on a house move, spiced onions are so easy to make. Or alternatively just get the curry and cook the rice yourself while you are waiting for the delivery man.Debts :Paypal £1981.32
