anyone used sugarveil?

i am prob well behind times here but i have ony just come across sugarveil and it looks amazing.like all things though its one thing watching an expert doing it but another having a go yourself!! has anyone tried ? also the price of the mats is unreal!! i am guessing that sugarveil is a trade name hence the cost. are there cheaper alternatives does anyone know. otherwise its back to my fondant imprint mats- not the same but much cheaper

there is something called magic decor made by pavoni, its only available in europe but there are some available to deliver in uk

some of the smaller strips are about a tenner, never used it though
