One lucky reader will receive £500 towards a National Trust Holiday Cottage break, while another will receive £500 towards a National Trust for Scotland Holiday Cottage break. You could spend the weekend in a lighthouse, live life as a laird in your own castle or enjoy a romantic break in a cosy cottage. Each stunning location sleeps between two and 14 people. There are two prizes, to be awarded to two separate winners. The prizes are £500 towards a National Trust Holiday Cottage break and £500 towards a National Trust for Scotland Holiday. The holidays are to be taken from the National Trust Holiday Cottages Brochure 2013 and the National Trust for Scotland Holiday Accommodation Brochure 2013 respectively. The winners may extend their stays for the standard rate.
2. The National Trust and The National Trust for Scotland will not be responsible for any transport or additional accommodation costs incurred in the fulfilment of the prize.
3. The holidays must be taken by end of February 2014 and cannot be taken over Christmas or New Year. Standard terms and conditions of a holiday booking apply – see the brochures for details.
4. To check availability, visit ntsholidays.com and nationaltrustcottages.co.uk. Winners will be notified within 28 days of the closing date by phone or post and the National Trust or National Trust for Scotland booking office will then contact them directly to confirm their preferred dates. 5. Unless otherwise stated, winners will be picked at random from all correct entries received once the deadline for entries has passed.
6. Prizes must be taken as offered, are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Entrants must be a UK resident aged 18 or over and must not be employees (nor the family of employees) of John Brown, the John Lewis Partnership, competition sponsors or anyone professionally linked with the competition.
8. The promoter of the competition is John Brown.
9. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries, submitted directly or with the use of any automated systems, are not permitted and will not be entered into the draw.
