Scs / creation finance

Hi guys,
Last year January, my son orders a settee from scs on finance.
He paid a deposit £186, but then sadly his son was born asleep, my son and his girl are both in the army, due to losing the baby, they never moved into there house as planned.
My son phoned scs to try and cancel the settee but they refused.
My son then went to Afghan on your and I took over dealing with scs, I explained again what had happened and that my son no longer has a house for a settee!!

Anyway cut a very long story short, the store agreed to sell the settee in store and they would contact me in 12 month to see if we are in a position to take the settee, I said he wouldn't be and the lad stated he knew that but can't cancel off the books and this was the only way to go. He said he was doings a favour!

Anyway, last month creation finance have tried to take payment from my sons account!! He has phoned them as he has cancelled the direct debit and they are going to charge him £30 a month extra!
They said its up to scs to stop them taking the money?

Can't get in touch with scs this afternoon!! Surely he dosnt have to pay for something he has never had!!

sorry for your sons lost,and hope hes been ok in afghan(my nephews out there now),stop dealing with the store go right to the top MD and say that this just isnt right given the circumstances(if the MD wont play ball threaten to go to the press)
I suspect at store level someone will be trying to hang on to their comission

Just a quick update, SCS have been in touch this afternoon and cancelled the credit agreement, so we have no money owing.
Really, really over the moon at that outcome!!!
