Entries from MSE not accepted?

Hi, I'm fairly new on the competitions board here, but a long time comper.
I spotted these terms on a competition
Entries from MoneySavingsExpert, Loquax and all other competition entry websites will not be included in any of our competitions.
Obviously you could C&P the address from the competition forum into a new window every time, but I was just wondering if anyone knows of a firefox/chrome extension that does the job?
Apols if this has been discussed before, I've had a search but couldn't find anything.

Well, no not bothered about that comp so much, but I suppose other sites have similar terms, and some may not say so.0

You can block referrers with this ad on so sites don't know where you've clicked from
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Web_Developer_Extension_%28external%29
Some sites don't accept entries when referrers are blocked and you need to re allow for the form to go throughA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -
Just have two windows open, and drag the links into the alternate open window.
That works for the Take a break onesWishing you all good luck!

You can also block the referrer by doing this:
1. Type about:config into the FF url bar
2. It will say something about monsters (or something similar). Just click "I'll be careful". You won't break your browser or damage your computer, honest!
3. Now type network.http.sendRefererHeader into the search bar.
4. The value will be set to 2. Right click on the 2, select 'modify' and change to 0. Then you're done and website won't know where you've come form. Bear in mind though that if you use cashback sites, they rely on the referrer to know that you've gone through them to get to websites and some comp sites rely on referrers.2019 Wins

Had to Google that phrase to find out how much this bothered me...eh, I'll live
Quite annoying though, do hope it doesn't become a trend. In my mind, these people run competitions to get more exposure and by being listed on MSE they're getting, well, rather a lot of exposure. Sure, we might only be in it for the competitions, but who exactly enters competitions for any other reason?! Just seems like a giant marketing fail to me.
(I appear to be posting an awful lot of rants tonight, feel free to just skip past...)0 -
Well I can see why the puzzle mags like Take a Break actually block access to the entry page that have come from MSE.
They may feel that their puzzle magaziness are aimed at people who actually like solving the puzzles for themselves. They might regard it as unsporting if masses of people are able to enter without even looking at the puzzles and possibly a bit unfair on those who do make the effort to solve them.0 -

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure in Firefox, that if you 'drag' the link to a new tab (the + symbol) it opens a new tab without the referrer information. There is several 'no referral' plug in for Firefox - I used to use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/refcontrol/ - but now I just drag the links to a new tab.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0
