I'm having a clear out and fancied a car boot sale to get rid of my unwanted stuff. I don't fancy the big ones, Blochairn or Polmadie as getting up at 3am to get a pitch and competing with traders is not really something I'm wanting to do. I thought the Milngavie one might be more civilised, I've googled it but not found much beyond a location and a cost (£10). Any one know if it shuts over winter and if you have to book, also, not sure about opening hours and when we should arrive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have done Polmadie on sat and sunday, I went at 6am both times and was one of the first few cars in after the traders, loads of space, people were still arriving at 8am and getting a space. Blochairn however I agree is a nightmare, there is also a car boot at lanark and I think you can pre book a space although I sold very little and ended up at Blochairn the following week to shift the stuff, strathclyde park also does a car boot at weekend

There is also one on the first saturday of each month in Paisley, at Wallneuk Church (next to Halfords and less than 5 mins walk from the town centre). Can be quite busy and has steady traffic all morning. You need to book in advance (google the church and you'll find their website and contact details etc). You need to be there for about 8.30. Lasts till about 12.30
