Sheeple..

He was ranting on Vanessa Feltz radio show last year emploring people to give property a wide birth for years to come.
I've followed him all along and a toxic subtext runs below his narrative, but I can't work out what it is.
My guess is that some time back colleagues / freinds of his 'luckily' did well out of property, and yet he with all his financial qualifications hadn't had that 'lucky' equity gold rush come his way.0 -

The talking heads doing the media circuit get more bookings if thier message is more sensational.
He amuses me, peddling silly little policies that when all said and done are packaged stocks and shares that pay him and all the other midle men a cut. How anyone gets rich by these things is more luck than judgment.
He just cannot tolerate thickos having made stacks of equity through property.
I actually bought a property abroad with one of the main HPC founder bears so I have a fair inkling into thier psyche.0 -

Au revoir. :wave:0 -
Who can remember this nice word?
It was invented by Johnathan Davies of HPC.
He aimed it at people who bought a house and lived in it with their family.
Apparently, you were really stupid.
What you should have done was to rent and wait for house prices to crash.
:rotfl:
You learn something every day.
I always thought that sheeple referred to people who let others decide for them how they are to think and act - because they are lazy and it's the easy way out not to find out the facts for yourself and make your own decision.
I've always ever seen it used in that way and use it myself for lazy/conformist thinkers. "Oh, those sheeple letting the government decide how things will be and just rolling over and taking it". "Oh those sheeple deciding to do such-and-such just because other people do and not making up their own minds".0 -

Hello Harry. You remind me very much of Renovationman. I might have to put you on ignore, it'll be for your own good.0 -
