Smart Sat-Nav with European maps £120 delivered

Ebuyer is currently selling the Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N100 sat-nav for £129.98. Pay via Google Checkout (see below for details) and you save a further £10, and postage is free, so you get the lot for £119.98.

It features full European 3D maps, MP3 capabilities (though you may have to buy more memory, or forfeit some maps), full postcode search and everything you need to get it up and running in your car.

For more info about Google Checkout, including how to sign up, read the £10 off £30 with Google thread.

This seems a good deal, since the sat-nav has good reviews all round, and looks pretty cool too.

  • Bought one of these Loox N100 when they were £170 - excellent value then. You can upgrade it on the Navigon site https://www.navigon.com/site/uk/en under Service & Support - this gives better OS and also adds functionality for pictures and video. Uses MiniSD card so worth getting a 2Gb card. Only bad points are that speed cameras appear in the wrong places, like in fields - Navigon tell me it will be sorted when the next issue of maps is available.... and you cannot drive over borders without changing maps - but hey, at that price! Voice is good and strong (I'm deaf and it works for me) - nice, polite ("please..") female voice. Best bit is that it is small (mobile phone size), is easily readable and fits in a pocket. Buy it!

Just followed the above......did you notice this model has blue banner on top saying "Discontinued" ?
Is this an issue......any problems , updating etc. ?
    Advice would be welcomed.
    Thanks in advance.
  • I recently came to the end of my mobile contract. so went to Phones4U to upgrade. I'd seen the Nokia N95 advertised and liked the look of it, so asked about that and quoted the best online deal I'd seen (£35/month with O2). They found me a contract with Orange that cost £45/month with a nine month tie-in and gave me £90 cash to make up the difference. So now I have a phone with pretty impressive sat nav capabilities and free downloadable maps of anywhere!
