I've been going about this the wrong way.

:doh: and nobody told me otherwise.

Due to a, one month, payment holiday, I owe a bit more than one month on my Bank Loan.

I planned to pay the difference, just before the next DD goes out, thereby finishing the loan this month, rather than having a part-payment go out next month.

I went into the bank, yesterday, to get a figure to pay.

The gentleman I spoke to, suggested I simply pay the whole lot off, over the counter, when I get paid, and cancel the DD at the same time.

Why on earth, didn't anybody else at the bank, suggested this :huh:
