Hi I just wondered if anyone knows when you apply for a mortgage do you have to present so many pay slips and bank accounts etc...just having a bit of a declutter and I'm not sure how many we need to keep.
Actually I have online bank statements only so would this be a problem?

3 months bank statements and payslips is usually fine.
Might b worth holiding on to the last 6-12 months though as you never know, you might get a fussy underwriter.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Latest year P60 could possibly be requested so keep this too.
Internet bank statements are usually fine. Some lenders may want to see them stamped by a branch.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We only have online statements too which were all fine apart from the savings accounts ones, which do not have our names on(!) These are Nationwide statements. We ended up having to print out the landing page which details all our account numbers and our names, which matches up with the current account. No-one's actually said anything about them yet, but as they were sent weeks ago and I've heard nothing, I'm going to presume that they're ok! (Famous last words, I'm sure...)0
