Bulk buying maybe no cheaper than a supermarket deal. Unless buying by the lorry load.
What do you call bulk?
Not like the guy in the tile shop, Asks for a bulk discount. Oh yes we can do that says the salesman.
Asks for 6. 6 pallets? No 6 boxes. I had to walk away to giggle.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Unless you are looking for a wholesale order, I think you are going to be looking at the likes of ethical superstore, amazon, ecotopia or similar. A wholesale order is going to require you to spend hundreds of pounds in one go, if that is what you are after try googling "natural foods wholesaler" and you will get a list of suitable candidates.0

asking round as i've recently moved to a property with an ingestor type septic tank. due to building control reg all grey water goes through tank as well
my parents will soon move to property next door and are connected to same tank, we've already had issues with tank pipes blocked and had to have them jetted. next door property currently rented out so we have no control over what's going down the system
trying to be as good as possible, hence the q
would appreciate any help in this field, it's been 30+ years since i had to deal with living in a property with a spetic tank!

Suma wholefood co-operative https://www.suma.coop does loads of this sort of product, but they are a wholesaler and not really geared up to deal with orders from the public.
However, it is possible to set up an account and buy from then, but the minimum order size is £250 or £350 IIRC, because the goods are delivered in their own vehicles due to their nature. The catalogues come out every 2-3 months, with special offers (eg BOGOFs). If you don't order regularly you won't get a new catalogue.
I don't know if they deliver to NI but if not they might still be able to sort something out.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Well I managed to get a good deal on Bio d from Ethical Superstore. On offer in 5lt quantities for less than the bio D website were selling them, plus free delivery. (They do free delivery to Northern Ireland even though it doesn't say this on the website, I phoned to check first!)
Thanks all for the input and advice. I reckon that my total out lay works out at approx £5 a month as this lot will last for a year if I figure it all out properly, worst case scenario £10 a month if I'm sore on the laundry liquid. I was spending more than that a month on regular supermarket stuff, so I'm happy to say the least :beer:0
