Question about csa 2 and the using of tax credit information.

Options
Hi again members ,

i have been contacted by csa with a view to paying maintenance (although i have been paying voluntarily), i was under the csa1 scheme initially when my case was closed after 11 years, now the ex asked for csa involvement again which will place me under the csa2 scheme i believe .

i understand how csa 2 is calculated but i am concerned as to what effect, let alone the fairness of using tax credits, will have on my particular case.

my wife and i are employed but she has just begun maternity leave due to having our 2nd child , how on earth is it fair to use child tax credit info for the children in our household to assess maintenance for my child who lives with my ex/pwc, we wouldnt even get ctc's for the csa to use if we didnt have children in our household.

my question is do they genuinely use the tax credits figures by adding it to my income then doing the 15% part ??
