Curry Virgin!!!

I have had a scan through the indexes and I can't find a simple curry recipe to do in the slow cooker.
I have never made a curry and would love to do a mild one in my slow cooker this week, so bascially I am looking for a fairly simple receipe which I can elaborate on as I get more experienced.
If someone could come to my rescue and offer a 'fool proof' recipe

I know it's cheating but why not use a jar of ready made mix until you feel confidentYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Thanks for that charlies_mum but have done that and wanted to try a basic 'do it yourself' one, if that makes sense!!:grinheart I've caught it - The TESCO bug!!:grinheartTesco points have paid for Florida holiday this year'Kids now have 'womblitis':rotfl:I :heart2: MSE£2 savings 2008 = £46Quidco £244.95 PAID 2007 - £54.62 received to dateKids Finders keepers jar £5.99 -since 26/5/070 -

that looks nice and easy and you should have most of the stuff in your cupboards.:beer:0 -
I have a recipe but you wouldn't use a slow cooker. Its dead easy, takes only 15 mins to prepare and then simmer on low heat till rice is done - easy
You Need
Cooked chicken (roast leftovers great)
1 cooking apple (peeled and sliced)
1 onion (peeled and sliced)
2 tbsp curry powder + 1/2tsp ginger and 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp plain flour
1 tbsp butter
3/4 pint chicken stock mixed with
1/4 pint milk
1 or 2 tbsp mango chutney
Fry onion and apple in the butter till soft.
Add flour and curry powder, cinnamon and ginger.
Cook for a few mins on med heat.
Slowly add stock & milk stirring all the time to prevent lumps.
Add chicken & mango chutney and simmer for 20 mins.
Simple, done
(If you don't have cooked chicken, make sauce as above and add strips of chicken breast once sauce is done - cook the chicken in the sauce for about 10 mins or til cooked)
AND it freezes too
Hope you enjoy it - we make it almost every week0 -

It might be worth having a look on the videojug website. They have lots of "how to make" videos on there. I tried the "how to make chicken curry in ten minutes". It was really easy to make and was lovely.0

I use a tin of lentil and tomato soup as a base for my curries sometimes, you just cook the meat or veg of your choice and add the tin of soup along with a chopped onion and curry paste (not powder) to taste. You can add herbs and spices to suit your own taste once you get the basic curry going.0
