The dreaded doormat!

Who here dreads reading their post every day?

Mine doesn't come until about 10.30am, so I pick it up when I get home from work at about 5.30pm. I always dread it.

I force myself to open every single letter, but I still get a tight chest and nausea when I see correspondence from one of my creditors.

You are still at an early stage at dealing with your debts. If your post count is anything to go by.

Don't worry - once you start dealing with your debts, you start to wait for the postman coming so you can cross another payment off your list. Once you have dealt with things nothing comes as a surprise any more.

    Good luck!:T

Sammy's so right - the whole thing turns around! I know look forward to the cc bills so i can see that the total's really are reducing. Used to dread finding piles of such letters "hidden" on top of books on bookshelf - DH used to just never open them! (He did pay, had DDs set up, but only for just above minimum amount.) Now he lets me deal with them and is delighted to see that some have disappeared totally now! He doesn't spend a great deal on himself but he's still not had a LBM, and rarely bothers checking statements, but I am working on him!

    Think twice before spending anything!

One of the delights of JUST balance income and outgoings is not having this terror. But it must be awful. I am sure that once you start making strides the dread will turn into anticipation
