price matching at John Lewis for dishwasher

Hi there,

Our dishwasher has packed up so thinking about getting the Bosch SMS40A08GB - it's £459 at John Lewis, including delivery.
It is available online at Tesco, also inc. delivery, for £399 (and for a couple of pound cheaper at some other websites).

I want to buy from John Lewis, so I can pay for their disposal (£9) and connection (£25) services - and of course you get an extra year's guarantee.
Any ideas how I can find out if it is available on the high street for less than £459 so I can try for price matching?

wey hey - John Lewis have reduced it to £399 today with another £40 off for trade-in too :-)

In case anyone is interested, the disposal/connection options have disappeared from the item page, which is odd since you need the disposal option for the £40 trade-in so I did click-to-call to order over the phone and sort all that out. It is a Which? best buy by the way :

The Best Buy Bosch SMS40A08GB did brilliantly in our tests; the dirty dishes we used were left spotlessly clean and well dried with hardly any watermarks.


Pros: Excellent dishwashing, drying, energy and water use

Cons: Like most dishwashers, drying plastics is a struggle
