CCCS - info about bankruptcy

just done a income and expenditure debt remedy through cccs and they said bankruptcy was the best option.

however i am currently on an iva with debt free direct, they said i would need to be discharged first.

okay so i want to do this but my concern is that my creditors will start harassing me as soon as i am discharged. halifax are the worst ones.

is there a way i can get some protection put in place from my creditors so that they dont harass me when i get discharged as i will need to make them aware that bankruptcy is being applied for??

cccs said my partner's property would not be taken into account because i have not contributed towards things like decorating, and the mortgage etc etc.

i also dont have any assets and i haven't got any savings.

cccs also said i could ask debt free direct if the creditors could make me bankrupt; would this save me paying the bankruptcy fees??

thanks

Your creditors will not make you BR unless it is HMRC they are one of the very few that will actually do this. What do you mean by discharged? Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to protect yourself from your creditors. I changed my phone numbers as a way of stopping them from harassing me. If you inform your creditors that you are going BR there is a good chance they will increase their harassment of you. Have you spoken to any of the other debt charities?

You need to get a discharge certificate to show you are out of the IVA.

I am making an appointment shortly with the CAB for some more information about this before I take the plunge.
