Seabrook Crisps often run competitions to win a box of crisps on twitter, the retweet ones generally get up to 3,000 entries (they have 27,300 followers)

    Had a bit of time on my hands today, so I thought I would have a look at a few rafflecopters or gleams ended recently and these are how many entries they had;

    Decade hamper 4955
    Apricot orange butterfly handbag 2365
a copy of Where Have all the Animals Gone? 2155
    Cassie cat Trunki 6500
SuperZings Collectable Toys Starter Pack 30993
    Pair of Cortex games 4855

Most of these would have numerous entry options

The thing with these figures is it all depends on how many entries the tasks earnt.

For example the Decade Hamper at 4955 could have had more entries than the 30993 because the tasks to enter were worth less.

If it had 5 tasks at 1 entry each that would be 991 people if everyone did all 5 tasks but the Super Zings could have been 5 tasks worth 10 entries each which would have been 620 people if every entrant did each task once.

Sometimes bloggers make their tasks worth a lot more because then their entrant numbers look a lot higher than they are which makes them more desirable to other companies who want them to run a giveaway for them, so never look at a rafflecopter and think jeez its got xxxxx amount of entries i won't bother cos it could actually be not that many entrants at all x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

If the 30993 is like some of their others there will be 16 ways to enter worth in total 33 for the one offs and 24 for daily entries so if you did all the entries possible for one day you would have 57 entries out of the 30933, giving you overall odds of about 540 to 1 - entering every day for a week (201 entries) would cut the odds to about 153 to 1.

Circulation for TAB has now dipped to just below 500,000 from over 900,000 less than 10 years ago (but it still sells more than Chat and That's Life combined).

If 10% of people who buy TAB enter the competitions that would give you 50,000 entries a week plus those from people who don't buy it.

TV Choice sells almost 1.2 million a week but the percentage of entrants vs circulation is likely to be much lower as the competitions are far more part of the main purpose of TAB than they are for TV choice (whatever the actual percentages are).

A weekly FB L,S and T for £100 from Love it magazine has been getting between roughly 620 and 900 entries, this week is close to 1,000 with 3 days to go

B&B stores for £150 of vouchers and a tool hamper started 30/04 @ 16:00, entries so far on FB and TW

FB requires a comment or TW requires a Retweet

FB followers 1,269,423 entries 5,587 (% of entrants from followers 0.44)
TW followers 72,223 entries 3,129 (% of entrants from followers 4.33)

If the percentages remained the same it would only take 129,000 twitter followers to produce the same number of entries as the 1,269,423 FB fans.
