The XP 205 is very poor, numerous rubbish reviews - Which? say it has poor print quality and slow. No cheap inks unlike SX235W which is now discontinued.

I got xs been best printer I had got refillable cartridges off eBay with reset chips, had no problems saved me fortune.... Had couple hp that were carp IMHO....

Most printers have a limited life governed by the fact that on purge and cleaning cycles they eject ink which is soaked up by an internal sponge. When this sponge gets saturated a sensor stops your printer from working and encourages you to buy a new one or send back for service at a gross price.

GET A DRAIN KIT !

Google " drain kit " for your printer model , savvy users DIY.

Always use compatible carts or re-fill inks and you printer will last for years !

not had any trouble with mine, prints perfect everytime, compatible inks on ebay are £10 and print brilliant 10*15 photos, dont read reviews, people only review stuff when theyve had a bad experience, and dont even think to compliment something when its working fine.

plus all people are complaining about is setting up the wifi printing. you set it up with a standard cable then connect to wifi, takes 5 mins

Even with a drain kit the counter which sets off the waste pad error keeps counting.

Now that the SX range is being discontinued and more XP Printers are sold, compatible inks should appear

I have had a few Epson printers and as soon as I start using any sort of non-genuine-Epson ink the print quality goes really bad and then before long the printer packs up.
I don't know about the price of other printer inks but the Epson ones are daylight robbery.

When you order replacement inks, try the jet tec ones. Very reasonable price and good quality ink. I have two epson printers and I won't use anything else.

i got a full set off ebay for £10 and there just as good as the originals
